Two ways compared
The Broadway
-Gate is wide
-Road is wide and spacious
-Destination is destruction
-Many people travel on this road
How many and why?
It is an easy road with bypass and alternate routes that will save more time.
Sin way is wide because it offers -alternative ways to God.
-Ways filled with man made rules and regulations
-and self help approaches to God.
-Is an evil way
-Sin is destructive Romans 7:11
-The final destination and end of sinful people is destruction/hell
The Narrow Way of life
-The road is strait and narrow. How narrow and why?
Jesus is the only way to God, and in him alone is salvation, and eternal life found. Look at Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
-Destination is eternal life
-Only few find this road: how few and why?
-Many are called but few are chosen.
-Light has come but many preferred darkness to light.
-Many make excuses. Luke 14:17-20. Note that making excuses and cancellation at this point was rude and insulting in the culture.
